There's just so many things that we can do to calm ourselves, to turn the stress and anxiety into calm and peace. It is certainly different for everyone, but things that we can try are myriad and diverse. Books have been written about this and people are still coming up with new and novel ideas.
Breathing exercises - from Box Breathing, to the 4/7/8 technique (as touched on in my previous blog, and many more
Praying, meditation
Music - from relaxing feel good music, to Gregorian Chants, Eastern chants, Gospel music, classical, pop, sounds of nature
Temperature exposure - sauna, ice baths, cryotherapy, just cold showers - cold therapy, warm baths, hot stones
Light exposure - especially Near Infra Red or Red Light Therapy
Vibration - massage, lymph drainage, dry body brush, beds, chairs, cushions
Reading - poetry, fiction, the Bible - different for each of us
These are just a few of the things that I have tried with good benefit.
